Last but not least, The Gits are all-time fave, but I’ve been listening to them obsessively lately because I’m really excited about a documentary that’s coming out about them and the tragic death of their extraordinarily talented lead singer Mia Zapata. The doc will have a limited release in certain cities on 4th of July weekend and actually comes out on DVD the same day as IWBYJR releases. First off I came across your book on Amazon due to typing in Sleater-Kinney and now can't wait to read it!
Seeing as this post was about music I had a band come to mind, well two actually, first one is a small punk band from allston, MA called Vagiant (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=44803596) and check out their song seven. Sad to say it but I found out about Vagiant through Guitar Hero 2 haha with their song FTK. Still there one song that gets stuck in my head easily is Seven. Reminds me of good old 70's punk like The Ramones and Sex Pistols.
